BLOOMING PRAIRIE COUNTRY CLUB 2016 SPRING NEWS LETTER
WELCOME ALL GOLFERS
The Board of Directors is looking forward to the 2016 season. Board Members are Kurt Blome, Pres., Tony Motl, VP, Lori Lysne, Sec., Melody Benson, Treas., Aaron Ressler and new members Jeremy Doerhoefer and Kyle Strunk, members at large. Members leaving the Board are past president Stephen Clark and Joe Morgan. A big thank you for their service and dedication to the club. We are blessed again this years to have Barb Waggie as Manager of the club house operations and Roger Hanson as Grounds Superintendent.
Carl Peterson will be in charge of the Mean's League again. League play will start Monday, May 2nd. Let's hope the weather is a little more cooperative this year so the long johns can stay in the dresser drawer. If you want to start a new team or know someone who does, please call Carl at 507-383-3988. We may ask Men's League golfers to share carts as necessary which may mean you have to share with an opponent. Remember, membership dues must be paid prior to league play unless you are signed up under the Contract Membership monthly program. Men's League team dues ($35/person) must be paid by the second week of play. A $5 special charge per week will be assessed if paid later.
Thank you to the Men's League sponsor's for their generous donations. These sponsors are Jensen Heating & Air-Conditioning (DeWayne & Lori Jensen), Joe's Repair (Joe Haberman), Davin Johnson Painting (Davin Johnson) and Accentra Investment Services (Jay Braaten).
The Women's League begins on Wed., June 1st. Melody Benson will be running the league again. We need more women for the league. Please call the club (507-583-2887) if you are interested. Melody and Barb will help put a team together for you, if needed.
The clubhouse will be open on March 31st, and the course will open also, weather permitting.
We are moving all member owned golf carts to the south shed. There are 3 or 4 private units on the east side available for gas carts. Let Barb know if you are interested.
The Board is also working with other local courses to develop reciprocity agreements. More on this as we obtain agreements.
We are selling the club's B Farmall tractor. It comes with a belly mount grading blade. Turn a sealed bid into the clubhouse if you are interested. We are setting a minimum or we will sell it online.
SEE YOU ON THE COURSE!!
